Founded in 2018, Castella Cheesecake was created with a passion for bringing the authentic taste of Japanese-style desserts to Canada. Beginning with our first location on Robson Street in the heart of downtown Vancouver, we have since grown to multiple locations across Vancouver, Burnaby, and Richmond, supported by our central bakery that prepares our desserts fresh every day.

At Castella Cheesecake, we believe the finest desserts are created with patience, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. Every creation is handcrafted by our team of pastry artisans using carefully refined techniques and thoughtfully selected ingredients, allowing us to preserve the delicate textures and flavours that define our desserts.

Driven by a passion for discovering the world's finest desserts, Billy, our Founder and Managing Director, travelled to Japan and Spain to explore traditional baking techniques and draw inspiration from generations of pastry craftsmanship. These experiences shaped Castella Cheesecake’s creations, blending the delicate artistry of Japanese desserts with the rich traditions of European pastry.

What began as a vision to bring authentic Japanese-inspired desserts to Vancouver has grown into a beloved dessert destination enjoyed by guests throughout Canada.
